Features 
The SP50 has the following additional features:
  • Fully Synthesized Operation - An authorized dealer can add or modify the radio frequencies and features using an IBM Personal Computer.
  • Channel Scan - All channels in the radio can be simultaneously monitored at the press of the option button.
  • Multiple PrivateLine (PL)/Digital Private Line (DPL) - A unique PL or DPL 'interference eliminator' code can be programmed for each channel that eliminates hearing unwanted conversations.
  • Meets Limited Mil Spec 810 C, D & E Approvals - The SP50 radio has been designed and tested to meet the U.S. military standards approval for Shock, Vibration, Rain & Dust, ensuring it's ability to perform in rigorous work environments.
  • Add-On Signalling Capability (RadiusPort) - This feature allows the user to add new capabilities to already existing radios. A Quik Call IITM 'paging' module that alerts a user to incoming voice selective call messages or a SmarTrunk II module for adding trunking operation are currently available for this radio.

Accessories 
  • Speaker Microphone - An audio accessory that was designed for users in high noise environments. The microphone clip attaches to the user's lapel and allows him/her to talk or listen without removing radio from belt.
  • VOX Adapter - Provides "hand-free" use when this accessory is used with a headset audio accessory. The radio automatically transmits whenever the user speaks.
  • Rapid Rate Charger - A desktop charger that recharges the SP50 Ni-Cad battery in 3 hours, rather then the standard 10 hours.
  • Carry Cases - Leather or Nylon, cases are designed to help protect the radio from nicks and scratches.
